1) What is a network camera?
A network camera can be described as a camera and computer combined in one
intelligent unit. It captures and sends live video directly over an IP network
such as a LAN, intranet or the Internet and enables users to view and/or manage
the camera using a standard Web browser or video management software on any
local or remote computer on a network. It allows authorized viewers from
different locations to simultaneously access images from the same network
camera.

2) Why should I sign up for any of the Grand Guard connections?
If you have ever had to worry about your home and office while you were away,
then this is just about what you need. Grand Guard provides multiple services
under a single connection. Most of our customers find a great peace of mind in
the facility of being able to remotely view the activities at their home and
office. Many of them claim to have viewed the outer premises of their house
whilst being inside, especially in case they were awakened by a suspicious
sound. Our add-on feature of phone alerts on motion detection and remote
recording has helped many to prevent threats. We are confident you too will
benefit from one or all of the exciting services our connections provide.
Other tempting reasons for signing up:
There is no other remote viewing system like ours. The image quality of live
video is crisp and the cameras we supply are amongst the TOP brands available.
You get the facility of recording without the need of installing a recorder at
your premises. Conventional recording systems do not give you the weeks or
months of recordings that grand guards can provide. You can view your premises
using your mobile phone and PC You can switch on or off your camera’s
monitoring feature using any phone around the world.
3) What is the "Book a connection for free" option for?
This is merely a process through which we get to know your interest in our
services, so that one of our company representatives calls you for a product
brief over the product.
4) Can I really watch my office and home through my mobile?
YES you can, This is possible by using GPRS on your phone and connecting to
your online account just as you will on the PC. Most phones display the current
still image of your premises which updates on clicking onto refresh while
phones with http support can see a stream of live video coming straight from
the camera.
5) How can I watch recorded video.
Just log into your online account, download and install our software video
player, specify the date and time you would like to view recordings of and
watch it as it downloads. After the download you can use the CVR like controls
and watch the video as many times you like. You can even watch in normal or
slow motion mode. Rewind, forward or even pause it.
6) What do you mean by 5 free alerts per month?
In year 2003 Grand Guard used to charge for every alert issued to a client,
with no limit on the quantity. Over time Grand Guard learnt that many users’
case false alerts for the fun of watching themselves caught on Phone (MMS).
Some also are not good at specifying the timings during which the camera must
scan for motion, causing our alert servers to remain busy in making automated
calls and SMS, which can delay a true alert. We discourage such activity not
only for economic reasons but also for quality of service. We would like our
customers to know that every alert is precious and must be dealt with
seriousness, due to which every client is entitled for only 5 alerts a month.
In case all 5 alerts run out. You will have to visit our office and purchase
more. Every client is topped up or maintained with 5 free alerts on the first
of every month.
7) What is the minimum requirements for me to get a home or business connection? All

then view the BZ Boss camera from any computer or mobile phone, in the world.
9) I love to have one of your connections but do not have a DSL or Cable Internet service, what do I do?
Most of the ISPs in Pakistan offer DSL at very competitive prices. A few
examples are WOL, Nexlinx, Cybernet, Brain Net etc. The major cable operator in
Lahore is World Call.
10) already have a World call cable Internet connection at home, and would like to apply for an EZ Home connection, how do I begin?

booking for you and then we proceed for the payment, installation and
activation steps.
